About us

We are the Latvian Fund for Nature, a non-profit non-governmental organisation that has been carrying out practical nature conservation and restoration work for more than thirty years. Our mission is to preserve Latvia's natural diversity, our species, habitats and ecosystems. 

Although Latvia is considered a green country, this is not entirely true. In Latvia, species and habitats are disappearing, declining and their sustainability is threatened. We talk about this a lot. 

People often ask us what they could do to help nature. The Latvian Fund for Nature shop is one of the answers! 

Proceeds from the shop's products will support our work – restoring natural meadows, creating urban meadows, restoring wetlands, deploying webcams to study bird life and many other actions to preserve biodiversity.

We have also noticed that many people love the plants and animals of the meadows and the materials we produce about them and the different habitats. These are now available for purchase. 

When you buy our products, you are taking part in the protection and conservation of nature.
