The illustrative species identifier describes ~200 plants and contains around 400 photographs, as well as ~150 animal descriptions and photographs.
The plant species descriptions are accompanied by icons indicating whether the plant is used medicinally, is specially protected or is poisonous.
The book includes alphabetical indexes to the Latvian and Latin names of plant and animal species.
